A Place for Educators to Discover & Purchase Instructional Resources

The Challenge

Lead to Teach needed a platform that combined instructional video content with a full-featured e-commerce experience tailored to primary school educators. The goal was to create a resource-rich environment where teachers could browse videos, purchase matching curriculum materials, and find relevant products without digging through an overwhelming catalog. The client also needed the ability to upload and manage content independently.

My Solution

I designed and developed a custom multi-page WordPress website with WooCommerce integration. My focus was on intuitive structure, simplicity, and flexibility for both the client and end users:

  • Turnkey Content Management: Built the site so the client can easily add videos, downloadable resources, and products through WordPress.
  • Integrated YouTube Content: Videos are embedded and categorized, enabling lesson-specific resources and products to be linked directly.
  • WooCommerce Ecosystem: Created a robust store setup with dynamic product suggestions, category tagging, and media pairing for an enriched shopping experience.
  • Simple, Clean Aesthetic: Focused on usability and a minimal design that supports discovery without visual clutter.

Results & Impact

  • Content-Driven Shopping: Teachers can now browse videos and instantly find related curriculum downloads or product bundles.
  • Frictionless Client Updates: The client can update the site independently—no developer needed to publish new content or products.
  • Smarter Storefront: Intelligent product suggestions and category filters help visitors find what they need without unnecessary clicks.
  • Designed for Growth: The modular backend structure makes scaling content and inventory easy as the brand expands.

Key Takeaways

  • A seamless blend of media and e-commerce can turn content into a powerful sales funnel for educators.
  • Giving clients autonomy over their site content ensures long-term sustainability without constant dev support.
  • Thoughtful taxonomy and product-linking improve both usability and conversion rates.
  • Minimalist design doesn't mean minimal functionality—clarity and purpose drive user engagement.
